Mike Knows Who The Boss IsÂ
Sometimes Mike makes bad choices, and has to suffer the consequences. But even though he doesn't like being punished at the time, Mike knows that his mom and dad are helping him grow to become a good person, and that God expects him to honor them.

Mike Learned That God Is Real
It's easy to say that you trust in God, but trust means that you don't worry. Mike and Josh were scared many times throughout the story, but each time God saved them. They learned that God is real, and is always watching out for them.

Mike Learned to Make Good Choices
Mike and Josh learned a long time ago that doing something they know is wrong is a bad idea. So they help each other make good choices with their personal motto: There's nothing wrong with doing right!
