Dinosaur Dilemma - Josh's Explanation of Fossilization

Page 18:  Josh grabbed a piece of paper and a pencil and drew.

“Dinosaur dies . . .

flesh decays . . .

bones get buried in mud at the bottom of a lake or something.

Over time, minerals replace the cells of the bone one by one.

After a long time, what once was bone is now stone.”

 “Very poetic, Mr. Roberts.”    

“Thank you.”
