The working title of a book for teens who are searching for answers about God, the Bible, church, and much more.
Strange thing is, the book doesn't give answers -- it doesn't tell teens what to believe. Rather, author Arnold Ytreeide shares what he believes, and why, and leaves it up to the teen himself or herself to figure out what they believe. "That's the only way it can really become their own faith," he says.
Working forward from the most basic question -- "Is there a God?" -- Arnold lays out a systematic explanation of Christian theology in contemporary language, with stories and examples to illustrate why he believes what he believes.
God Is Not Flat is one way of looking at the issues of faith and religion. As with everything religious, the reader may or may not agree with every "dot and tittle" of the text. But it's a starting place -- a place from which teens can launch or continue their own thinking about God.
